Requirements

Must be enrolled in or have completed a postgraduate degree in Political Science with emphasis on International Relations.
Must have successfully completed POLI 3P28 (or equivalent) and have the ability to clearly articulate the basic theoretical concepts.
Must have strong essay writing skills.
Must have good organizational skills and be able to observe timelines requested by the Instructor.
Must have prior documented experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

Facilitating small group discussions based on assigned materials that examine factors contributing to foreign policy formulation in Canada.
Grading of assignments and exams.
Providing thoughtful and constructive feedback with the aim of enriching students' academic experiences in the discipline.
Maintaining accurate records of individual student performance.
Scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required).
