About The Position

The Teaching Assistant will support the Data Programming for Business course (MGCR 233). This role involves managing the grading of assignments, midterm, and final exams, ensuring timely completion and handling student inquiries. The TA will also schedule graders for in-class Excel sessions, organize drop-in hours in the Sandiford computer lab, assist with guest lecturer scheduling, and contribute to the development of assignments and grading keys. Office hours will be held before the midterm and final exams.

Requirements

  • Must have appropriate background in Information Systems
  • General knowledge about Python

Responsibilities

  • Managing the grading of 2 assignments, midterm and final exams
  • Scheduling graders ensuring grading is done on a timely basis
  • Holding office hours afterwards for students to view their exams
  • Handling inquiries from students regarding grading issues
  • Ensuring that student’s grades are up-to-date and uploaded to MyCourses accordingly
  • Scheduling graders for in-class excel for all sections of the course
  • Scheduling drop-in hours in Sandiford computer lab before excel assignment(s) are due
  • Assisting with the scheduling of guest lecturers during the semester
  • Provide assistance with the development of assignments and grading keys
  • Holding office hours when required (before midterm & final)
