About The Position

The School for the Arts is seeking a Teaching Assistant for ART 231. This role involves leading technical tutorials and workshops for students creating analogue, hand-drawn animations and assisting with digital animation workflows using Premiere Pro and After Effects. The position also includes overseeing peer review sessions and grading both analogue and digital animation projects. The Teaching Assistant will manage and set up DSLR camera animation stations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an MFA in Studio Arts.
  • TA experience in the Digital & Integrated Practice Area (in two of the following classes: ART 230; ART 231; ART 330; ART 331; ART 236/338; ART 237/339).
  • Experience in both digital and analogue/traditional animation is required.
  • Must be registered in a graduate program.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to a candidate that has also taken two credits of ART 838/839 Digital & Integrated Practice.
