About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for NEUR 3P87 for the Fall D2-2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. Compensation is based on qualifications, with rates effective September 1, 2026: $23.30 per hour for those without a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree, and $36.67 per hour for those with such a degree. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. Requirements

Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in Neuroscience, or who have completed Neuroscience Degrees or equivalent
Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
Punctual in attending classes
Able to meet appropriate deadlines
