About The Position

Belmont Charter Network is a family of 5 community schools dedicated to promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of each child. Our schools are supported by a non-profit partner that provides holistic services, including out-of-school time, social work, and Head Start. Requirements

CDA, Associates, or B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
Experience working with children
Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34)
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114)
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168)
Enjoys working with and for children

Responsibilities

Execute small and whole group learning using the required curriculum
Actively manage and engage students in a variety of settings, including recess, lunch, classroom, arrival, and dismissal.
Proactively support students who are struggling behaviorally using trauma-informed practices and Responsive Classroom
Track student progress and maintain student data
Ensure a safe, joyful, welcoming, and clean school environment
Proactively communicate and collaborate with the lead classroom teacher on best instructional practices to maximize student progress
Attend school-based or network-level professional development sessions as assigned by supervisor
Attend school-wide meetings
Support OST programs as assigned by the supervisor
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
