About The Position

Join our New York Campus (located in Airmont) as a Teaching Assistant! You’ll play a key role in supporting classroom teachers and providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. This role involves assisting with instructional tasks, classroom management, and providing individualized support to students. To be considered for this position you must have: You must be living in the USA and authorized to work here. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Teaching Certification or Certified Teaching Assistant (CTA) certification required. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student development. Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology. The starting salary for this role ranges from $65,000 - $80,000 based on education, skills, and experience. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and implementing educational activities.
  • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organize instructional materials and resources.
  • Monitor and document student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with grading assignments and maintaining student records.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional times such as recess, lunch, and field trips.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Participate in professional development and training sessions.
