About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Neuroscience Seminar course (NSCI 400D1) at McGill University. The role involves attending three seminars per term, taking attendance of undergraduate students, and assisting the instructor in correcting short papers submitted by students (maximum of 20 papers per term). Requirements

  • Registered Graduate Student at the Master’s or Doctoral level at McGill University.
  • Bachelor Degree in Science.
  • Familiar with Computational Neuroscience or Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience.
  • Ability to assess written work and clearly express written criticisms.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based/located.

Responsibilities

  • Attend 3 seminars per term selected by the Neuroscience Committee.
  • Take attendance of Neuroscience undergraduate students at the seminars.
  • Assist the instructor in correcting short papers submitted by the undergraduate students (max. 20 papers per term).

Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: 38.34$ (effective August 2026)
  • Hourly Salary: $37.34
