About The Position

This position involves leading a team of 8 TAs who will oversee three brain dissection labs for medical students in Block J (INDS 212) of Fundamentals of Medicine and Dentistry. The contract period is from October 12, 2026, to December 18, 2026. The hourly rate is $37.34/hour (effective August 2025) and $38.46/hour (effective August 2026).

Requirements

• Only Current Masters or Doctoral students registered at McGill are eligible to apply as Teaching Assistant.
• Must have completed NEUR 610 (Functional Neuroanatomy).
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• All candidates will have to fill out the questionnaire and upload relevant documents (Study permit (if applicable)/Proof of enrollment for Fall 2026 term).
• Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
• Requires English communication both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Preference is given to applicants with previous TA experience in INDS 212.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and leading preparatory sessions prior to the labs.
• Helping the course instructor run the labs.
• Invigilating and grading the practical final exam.
