About The Position

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for one part-time teaching assistant to start in fall 2026. The successful candidate will assist Dr. Wael Jabr for 15 hours per week during the academic semester.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL (preferably using MySQL Workbench)
• Good understanding of Python
• Masters-level student in computer science, statistics, or related discipline
• Skilled in SQL and programming

Responsibilities

• Work on solving problems using languages such as Python and SQL.
• Using MySQL.
• Running existing Python packages (i.e., review documentation, debug, evaluate…) and subsequently building on those packages.
• Assist in writing, debugging, and proofing queries written in SQL and code written in Python.
