About The Position
The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for one part-time teaching assistant to start in fall 2026. The successful candidate will assist Dr. Wael Jabr for 15 hours per week during the academic semester.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL (preferably using MySQL Workbench)
- Good understanding of Python
- Masters-level student in computer science, statistics, or related discipline
- Skilled in SQL and programming
Responsibilities
- Work on solving problems using languages such as Python and SQL.
- Using MySQL as well as running existing Python packages (i.e., review documentation, debug, evaluate…)
- Building on existing Python packages.
- Assist in writing, debugging, and proofing queries written in SQL and code written in Python.
Benefits
- Starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
