About The Position

McGill University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for ARCH 377, Energy, Environment, and Buildings 1, for the Fall 2026 term. This position involves supporting the course instructor in various aspects of course delivery and student support. The TA will be responsible for data input, leading tutorial sessions, reviewing course content, marking assignments, and attending classes. Requirements

  • Proficiency with Grasshopper for Rhino.
  • Familiarity with Ladybug Grasshopper for Rhino, Climate Studio, and/or other such climate/weather data analysis tools.
  • Experience in daylight simulation – academic research or professional.
  • Have completed ARCH 377 EEB 1 or ARCH 641 Energy and Environments 1.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to work in the province of Quebec.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Input and collate data (grades) based on quizzes, peer reviews, and assignments.
  • Lead tutorial sessions to support student-teams with questions on completing assignments outside of class hours.
  • Participate in reviewing course content to give feedback including marking assignments and providing teaching support.
  • Attend classes.
