About The Position

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park is hiring one part-time teaching assistant to begin in January 2027. The assistant will support Dr. Zhenzhen Yan with SCM 406: Strategic Procurement for up to 10 hours per week during the Spring 2027 semester. Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour. Employment requires successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Requirements

• Successful completion of SCM 406 at Penn State, or a comparable course at a similar institution.

Responsibilities

• Grade individual assignments, group assignments, and course projects using provided rubrics.
• Upload grades and maintain accurate grade records in CANVAS.
• Hold regular office hours, one to two hours per week, to support student learning and answer course-related questions.
• Occasionally assist with facilitating in-class discussions or activities, as needed.
