About The Position

This position involves supporting students in the School of Urban Planning with their research projects and funding applications. The Teaching Assistant will run tutorials, review and grade assignments and draft proposals, and meet with students individually and in groups to conduct exercises and revise their work. The role is for URBP 630 Research Project 1 and URBP 606 Research Seminar.

Requirements

  • Doctoral student in urban planning, policy and design or allied fields.
  • Familiarity with quantitative, qualitative, spatial, applied and (ideally) participatory research methods and research design.
  • Must be a McGill registered graduate student.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to work in the province of Quebec.
  • Must have English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
