About The Position

The Department of Nutrition within the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources at the University of Nevada, Reno is hiring a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor based in the Department of Nutrition. The position is focused 90% on teaching and 10% on service. The successful candidate will join the department faculty, sustain excellence and best practices in collegiate nutrition instruction, support department programs, and contribute to future academic program development, including a doctoral program in Nutrition. Instruction will be delivered in person and online at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in nutrition or a closely related field.
• Strong track record of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality in-person and online instruction in departmental Nutrition courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Mentor and evaluate departmental graduate teaching assistants.
• Mentor and supervise graduate students and/or serve on graduate committees.
• Support Department programs and contribute to developing future academic programs, including a doctoral program in Nutrition.
• Contribute to a vibrant and inclusive academic community through collegiality, cooperation, and collaboration.
