About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Research Methods and Ethics course (PSY2174, Section I00) during the Winter 2027 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology. The role involves supporting the instructor in various aspects of the course, including potential training, preparation, student contact, marking, grading, and proctoring exams. The assistant will also be responsible for weekly laboratories or tutorials, which will be conducted in person. The TA is expected to be available during the scheduled lab time on Tuesdays from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The total estimated work hours for this position are 130.

Requirements

  • Honours Baccalaureate in Psychology or its equivalent
  • Current enrolment in a graduate program in Psychology
  • Availability during the scheduled lab time (Tuesdays from 2:30PM to 4:00PM)
  • Completion of all mandatory legislated training offered by the University
