About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the BIOFLUID MECHANICS I course (MCG3139, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves providing teaching assistance to the course supervisor, conducting LAB/TUT sessions, assisting students, marking assignments, and proctoring exams. The specific allocation of hours and duties will be determined by the supervisor. The teaching method is expected to be in-person, but may change due to health measures. All University of Ottawa employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the subject
• Successfully completed undergraduate courses in fluid mechanics
• Background in biomedical engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Availability in person throughout the course session
