About The Position

This position provides teaching assistant support for the ENGINEERING MATERIALS I (MCG2360 Section A00) course. The role involves assisting the course supervisor with laboratory/tutorial sessions, student consultations, marking assignments, and proctoring exams. The specific allocation of hours and duties will be determined by the supervisor. The teaching method is primarily in-person, though this may change due to health measures. Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the subject matter (Engineering Materials).
• Successfully completed an undergraduate Engineering Materials course or its equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be available during the entire duration of the session (September 01, 2026 - December 31, 2026).
• Must be available in person for proctoring duties, including the final exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching assistant support to the course supervisor.
• Conduct LAB/TUT sessions.
• Engage in student consultation.
• Mark assignments and exams.
• Proctor exams, including the final exam.
• Complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
