About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor position for the BIO2129 Ecology course, Section A01-08, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is part of the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. The course has an expected enrollment of 390 students and involves in-person labs every two weeks, including one lab that requires both field data collection and lab data analysis. TA meetings will also be held in-person. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. Requirements

  • Successful completion of BIO2129 or course equivalent(s).
  • Successful completion of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
  • Must be physically present from the beginning to the end of the semester for in-person labs and TA meetings.
  • Must be able to apply using a worker profile in Workday if currently an active employee of the University of Ottawa.
