About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Principles of Chemistry (CHM1311) laboratory course for the Fall 2026 semester. The TA will be responsible for assisting students in and out of the laboratory, marking laboratory reports, and implementing safety guidelines in the laboratory. The role involves direct contact with students, preparation for lab sessions, and grading of student work. The total expected work hours for this position are 33.

Requirements

• 1 full year of general chemistry
• 1 full year of organic chemistry
• CHM 2120/2123, or their equivalents
• Successful completion of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops
• Proficiency in both French and English
• All those who are not a Chemistry graduate student will be required to write a test to qualify (Unless already previously done).
