About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the course ECH 2310A, titled "Conflicts and Rights: Philosophical Perspectives", during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is with the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa. The TA will be responsible for correcting papers and exams, facilitating group discussions, scheduling office hours, proctoring exams, and meeting with the professor. The expected enrollment for the course is 122 students. The work start date is September 09, 2026, and the work end date is December 31, 2026, with a total of 90 work hours. The hourly rate is $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates), excluding vacation and statutory pay. These rates are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement, with retroactive pay provided after ratification. The language of work is English. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training.
