About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the course ECH 2310 Section A: Conflicts and Rights: Philosophical Perspectives, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is classified under CUPE. The TA will be responsible for correcting papers and exams, facilitating group discussions, scheduling office hours, proctoring exams, and meeting with the professor. The work start date is September 09, 2026, and the work end date is December 31, 2026, with a total of 130 work hours. The hourly rate depends on student status: undergraduate students will be paid $31.89/hour, and graduate students will be paid $50.25/hour (2024-2025 rates). These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. The language of work is English. All University of Ottawa employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
