About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Ethics course (PHI2174, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves supporting the instructor with various duties, including marking assignments, essays, and tests, participating in classroom activities, and providing in-person consultation with students. The course is delivered in-person. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

• BA (Hon) Philosophy or equivalent.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

Responsibilities

• Marking assignments, essays, and tests.
• Participating in classroom courses.
• In-person consultation with individual students.
• Exam invigilation.
