About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the Fundamental Philosophical Questions (PHI1103, Section A00) course during the 2026 Fall Semester. The role involves a combination of duties as per Article 4.3.1 of the CUPE 2626 collective agreement, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in-class and/or online), consulting with students (in-person and/or online), and proctoring. The specific allocation of hours for various tasks will be negotiated and signed by the student and the supervising professor before work commences. There are 2 positions available, with an expected enrollment of 200 students. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in Philosophy or related field
- Must be a CUPE 2626 member (or eligible to be)
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University
- Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
Responsibilities
