About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the course HSS3509A, Approches de recherche en biosciences de la santé, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is part-time (30 hours) and is classified under CUPE. The work will be performed virtually. Responsibilities include assisting with grading, written exams, and assignments, as well as proctoring exams. Online office hours may be required for students to ask questions outside of class time. The course is offered virtually, requiring the TA to have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam. The hourly rate depends on student status: undergraduate students will be paid $31.89/hour, and graduate students will be paid $50.25/hour (2024-2025 rates). These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Health Sciences or related fields.
- Experience with e-learning programs and software (as a user or teaching assistant).
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content).
- Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam for virtual work.
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Responsibilities
