About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the SOC1301 - Building Sociological Reasoning course, Section A00, during the Fall 2026 semester. The TA will be responsible for various tasks including leading discussion groups, marking papers and exams, holding office hours for students, and proctoring exams. The course will be delivered in person, requiring the TA to be available to travel to campus to fulfill their duties. The TA must meet deadlines set by the supervisor and may be required to attend lectures. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

• Must meet the language requirement of the course (English)
• Must be available to physically travel to campus
• Must meet the deadlines set by the supervisor
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University
