About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the course ECH 2320A: Qualitative Methods in Conflict Studies and Human Rights, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is with the Faculty of Social Sciences, within the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. The TA will be responsible for correcting papers and exams, facilitating group discussions, scheduling office hours, proctoring exams, and meeting with the professor. Two positions are available, with an expected enrollment of 74 students. The work start date is September 09, 2026, and the work end date is December 31, 2026, with a total of 65 work hours. The hourly rate varies for undergraduate and graduate students. All University of Ottawa employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. • Interest in Conflict Studies and Human Rights
• Teaching assistant, group facilitation and/or grading experience are an advantage
