About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the NUT6997 Research Proposal course during the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester at the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Nutrition Sciences at the University of Ottawa. The position is for one opening with an expected enrollment of 12 students. The work is to be performed in person at the Lees or RGN campus. The supervisor will provide detailed information regarding the schedule and workload. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will be governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

  • Completed Honours Bachelor in Food Sciences, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • If the degree is in a related field, the candidate must clearly explain in their résumé how their academic background connects to food science or nutrition.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in both French and English is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review program documents for accuracy and quality.
  • Organization and support of research related events (invitations, info gathering, etc.)
  • Assist with student poster preparation.
  • Promote and take part in Master's program events.
