About The Position

This is a Spring/Summer 2026 Research Assistant position with CUPE classification, totaling 130 work hours. The role is located at the Main Campus within the Faculty of Education, under the supervision of Jess Whitley. The primary task involves supporting the revision of a SSHRC Insight Grant. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a rate of $31.89/hour, while graduate students will receive $50.25/hour (2024-2025 rates, excluding vacation and statutory pay). These rates are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement, with retroactive pay provided after ratification. The language of work is English.

Requirements

Must be a student (undergraduate or graduate) to be eligible for the specified hourly rates.
All University of Ottawa employees must complete mandatory legislated training.
