About The Position

We have a teaching assistant position available for CML1613 (Droit constitutionnel) for the Winter semester. The teaching assistant is responsible for leading weekly tutoring sessions (alternating between access/equity tutoring and office hours) and offering exam preparation sessions at the end of each semester. In addition, the candidate attends the course to which they are assigned and assists the professor with administrative tasks. They will also serve as a mentor, helping students with their transition to law school. Your in-person presence is required.

Requirements

GPA of 7.0 or higher
Excellent communication skills
Prior experience in teaching or tutoring
Ability to use technology for teaching purposes
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and creatively
Knowledge of the barriers faced by members of groups seeking equity in the academic context
Demonstrated academic excellence (grade of A- or higher) in the subject for which the student wishes to tutor
Must have taken the course for which they wish to tutor as a JD student at the University of Ottawa or the equivalent
