About The Position

Kid Stock provides in-school programs at Bay Area schools during the school year, helping students strengthen storytelling skills, move their bodies, and use their voices while meeting curriculum standards in dance, music, and theater. For the spring semester, the Teaching Artist will teach dance at school programs, working with classes from TK through 8th grade and helping students practice their parts in a school-wide performance at the end of the semester. The role requires consistent availability during the school day for at least one and up to five days per week. The spring semester begins in January, with training ideally starting in December or sooner.

Requirements

• Some experience working with children and an enjoyment of working with kids.
• Some experience with and/or passion for the arts or theater.
• Consistent availability during the school day for at least one and up to five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Teach dance to classes from TK through 8th grade at participating Bay Area schools.
