About The Position

The Preschool Aide assists in creating a positive learning environment that supports the growth, development, and individual needs of each child. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the aide helps ensure a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom experience for all students. Whispering Pines Preschool is a family-owned organization serving children and families throughout Upstate New York, with five locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a learning and emotional environment that promotes each child's growth and development.
• Support classroom activities, lesson preparation, and mealtimes.
• Help maintain classroom management and implement daily schedules and routines.
• Encourage positive behavior and a productive learning environment.
• Support students with and without special needs.
• Provide general supervision of children under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom and building environment.
• Assist with before-school and after-school wraparound childcare programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
