About The Position

Most Precious Blood Catholic School in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking an elementary teacher to teach K4 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Catholic school teacher will adhere to the NCEA Code of Ethics for the Catholic school teacher, which specifies the attitude and the practice of the teacher in relation to the student, the parent, the community, and the profession. This position is closely connected to and assists the Diocesan Bishop in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the church.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 12 credit hours in education.
Agree to work on Catechist Certification.
Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
Knowledge of subjects taught, instructional methods and strategies, curriculum differentiation and proficiency in technology applications.
Ability to work well with others in the school community.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Submit to employment required screenings, criminal background check, and drug screening.
Certified in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources.
Adherence to diocesan policies and procedures.
MVR requirement.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Utilize principles of motivation and reinforcement.
Demonstrate professional attitudes, responsibilities and pursue professional growth.
Support administration, school programs, communicate effectively with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues, promote the school and its mission in a positive light, and help to build community and connection in the school community and diocese.
Sponsor one after school club.
Perform other duties as assigned.
