About The Position
The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education (AVRCE) is seeking a teacher for various subjects including Math at Work 10, 11, 12; Science 10; Agriculture-Agrifood 11; Food Preparation Service 10; Food Technology 10; Food Studies Hospitality 12; Exploring Technology 10; Energy Power Transportation 11; Oceans 11; and Physical Education 10. This is a 1.00 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) vacant position. The terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement. The posting closes at midnight on June 24th, 2026.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide quality instruction within the framework established by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting student learning based on each student’s prior knowledge, skills, and learning needs
- Demonstrate best practices in assessment to determine next steps
- Attend and actively engage in meetings and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and submit all records in online systems and other communication avenues
