About The Position

Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) and Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA) are seeking a Teacher Assistant to support children with developmental delays and disabilities. The role works alongside classroom teachers and a team of professionals to create engaging learning experiences, encourage developmental growth, and celebrate children's progress. Support includes helping children build cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills through structured activities, play, and individualized assistance.

The academy offers a supportive, child-centered team that includes teachers, teacher assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other professionals. Classrooms are organized according to children's ages and developmental needs and are designed to be safe, encouraging, and inclusive. The academies primarily serve children from birth through kindergarten and may expand summer services to elementary school-aged children with special needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A genuine passion for working with children and families.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Ability to work with children from birth through age 18, including children and families who may be at risk.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet-based programs.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
• Basic written communication and math skills.

Nice To Haves

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
• At least one year of successful classroom experience working with children, particularly children with developmental delays or disabilities, is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons, activities, and routines.
• Create positive and engaging experiences for children.
• Help children develop cognitive, social-emotional, communication, and motor skills.
• Provide individualized encouragement and support based on each child's needs.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Actively supervise children throughout the day.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, nurses, and families.
• Celebrate children's milestones and help prepare them for greater independence and success.
