About The Position

The Teacher plans, directs, and participates in age-appropriate activities that promote children’s intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development, with oversight from a senior team member. Using the provided play-based curriculum, the Teacher helps prepare children for kindergarten by supporting their transition into organized education from infancy through school age. The role also includes daily care, such as feeding, changing, and nap time, and maintaining interactive, open communication with parents and team members through the Classroom Management system. The position is part-time and works Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• DCF Hours.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements are advantageous but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and participate in age-appropriate activities that support children's intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development.
• Use the provided curriculum to help prepare children for kindergarten and ease them into organized education from infancy to school age.
• Assist with daily care, including feeding, changing, and nap time.
• Maintain interactive and open communication with parents and other team members using the Classroom Management system.
