About The Position

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, provides education services for K–12 students who need additional support to succeed in traditional school settings. SESI partners with school districts to operate in-district classrooms and standalone schools serving students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The Teacher provides academic, social, and emotional support using SESI instructional models, strategies, and curriculum. The role involves assessing students, using data to develop and carry out instructional plans, and collaborating with school teams and families to support student outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities

Work with students from varied developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and provide individualized attention to meet students’ needs.
Use assessment data to adjust short- and long-term plans to promote academic performance.
Develop and maintain skill-appropriate lesson plans.
Collaborate with team members to foster critical thinking and academic rigor.
Apply the school’s behavior support and intervention strategies.
Use de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain student and team member safety.
Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward goals, and develop and maintain required forms and files.
Participate in daily school functions, including morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory duties, as well as conferences, meetings, and training.
