About The Position

Teachers at Oak Grove Knowledge Beginnings implement KinderCare’s curriculum in ways that meet each child’s unique needs and create safe, nurturing environments where children can play and learn. They partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education, and work with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. Teachers cultivate positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The role involves working indoors and outdoors and engaging physically with children. The listed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. In Minnesota, an additional $3.00 per hour premium is currently provided for classroom hours through the Minnesota Great Start Compensation Support Program.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
• Obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, or be willing to obtain it.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Able to assume low-level postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
• Able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe and engage in physical activity with them.
• Able to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
