About The Position

St Paul Catholic School, St Paul is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled STEM/Computer Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will foster a love of learning and innovation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math, while integrating Catholic values throughout the curriculum. This educator will be responsible for developing engaging, standards-based lessons that challenge and inspire students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain one) preferred
  • Previous teaching experience in STEM or computer science preferred
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with educational technology tools, coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, Python), and robotics (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX, etc.)
  • Passion for teaching and faith-based education

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver high-quality instruction in STEM and computer science aligned with state standards and Catholic school curriculum guidelines.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into lessons, fostering a classroom environment rooted in faith, respect, and academic excellence.
  • Teach a variety of topics such as coding, robotics, digital citizenship, computer literacy, engineering design processes, and math/science enrichment.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and technology-rich learning environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate STEM learning across other subject areas.
  • Supervise and maintain classroom equipment, such as computers, tablets, and robotics kits.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and faculty meetings.
  • Support the mission and vision of the Catholic school and model Catholic values in all interactions.
