About The Position

This position at LIEDER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is for a Primary Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves providing assistance to instructional staff regarding the teaching/learning process and classroom management. The coach will visit classrooms to offer feedback and coaching related to student learning needs and instructional issues, and will model exemplary lessons. They will also assist in teaching student groups as directed by the principal, and collaborate with staff to use student data for recommending instructional changes. A key responsibility is developing and monitoring a plan to ensure at-risk students receive additional assistance. The coach must stay informed about curriculum and district standards, communicating these to staff, and help develop and present workshops supporting the Campus Improvement Plan. Additionally, the role involves working with parents to encourage their involvement in school and performing other curriculum duties as assigned by the principal. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
  • Texas Certification in elementary education
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher
  • Demonstrated ability to provide staff development
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Preference may be given to those working on a master's degree with a focus on Principal Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the instructional staff, concerning the teaching/learning process and classroom management.

  • Stay abreast of curriculum issues and district standards and communicate those to the staff.
  • Help develop and present workshops that support the Campus Improvement Plan.
  • Work with parents to promote their involvement in school.
  • Perform other curriculum duties as assigned by the building principal.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Work prolonged or irregular hours.
  • Obtain and maintain a current automated external defibrillator (AED) and CPR certificate.
