About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a part-time teacher for the school year at a behavioral health facility in Tupelo, Mississippi. The teacher will provide academic support to adolescent school-age patients receiving treatment in a small classroom setting. The role is a 20-hour-per-week commitment, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Class sizes typically range from 10 to 20 students.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
- Mississippi teaching license.
- Comfort working with adolescent-aged students.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
- Provide individualized assistance to students.
- Communicate about student progress as needed.
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to support student success.
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
