About The Position

The Poinciana Elementary School is seeking a Teacher for Varying Exceptionalities for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is responsible for educating students with exceptional needs. Employment is contingent upon successful background screening. Eligibility for Florida certification is required, specifically in Exceptional Student Education (grades K-12) and Elementary Education (Grades K-6). The school provides resources and guidance for obtaining Florida certification.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for Florida certification.
  • FL certification in Exceptional Student Education (grades K-12) is a prerequisite.

  • Successful completion of background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

  • Passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in ESE K-12 for other degree majors.
  • Passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in Elementary Education K-6 for other degree majors.
