Position Objective: The Part-Time Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Teacher provides specialized instruction and academic support to students with exceptional learning needs. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, school leadership, families, and the ESS team, this position helps students make progress toward their individualized academic and educational goals.
Requirements
- Mild-Moderate Disabilities K-12, Moderate/Severe Disabilities K-12 Certification in one of the following areas is required
- Relevant teaching experience
- Knowledge of relevant technology
- IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, small-group, and individualized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Adapt instructional strategies, materials, and activities to meet varying student learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and use data to adjust instruction and interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, services, and required records.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations, modifications, and student success in the classroom.
- Communicate with families, teachers, and other members of the student support team regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in required IEP, student support, and team meetings as appropriate to the position's part-time schedule.
- Support positive student behavior and create a safe, encouraging learning environment.
- Maintain compliance with applicable ESS requirements, school policies, and required timelines.
- Perform other student-support responsibilities related to the position as assigned.
