About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is hiring multiple part-time Teachers / Tutors in Language Arts, Science, Math, and SAT / ACT exam preparation. The role involves teaching students using Huntington’s individualized instructional programs. The center provides lesson planning, assignments, assessments, and answer keys, so tutors do not need to create lesson plans or grade homework. Instruction is provided in person and online, in small groups or one-to-one, at the Northern Bronx, NY location. Scheduling is flexible and may include after-school, weekend, and summer hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, in-center and/or online.
- Willingness to make a difference in the lives of students and their families.

Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to Huntington students.
- Correct each student's work using provided answers.
- Alert a supervisor to any concerns and suggest program changes.
- Participate in all scheduled paid teacher meetings.
- Observe students signing in and out.
