Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing necessary paperwork, developing and implementing instructional programs, and demonstrating competence in behavior management principles. Success in this role means effectively communicating with parents and staff, collecting data on student progress, and utilizing research-based teaching methods to promote skill generalization and maintenance. The teacher will also participate in continuing professional development and may be required to provide physical prompting, personal care, and other SHARS duties as assigned.
