About The Position

The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for secondary (middle and high) special education teaching positions that is available at Christiansburg Middle School. The role involves developing and implementing an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement in area to which assigned.
Possess knowledge of medical aspects of disabilities and their implications for instruction.
Possess knowledge of resources and techniques needed to integrate special education students into the least restrictive environment.
Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction.
Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning.
Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework.
Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students.
Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families.
Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment.
Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities.
