About The Position

Paterson Public Schools is seeking a Teacher Special Ed. Resource. The position requires a New Jersey Elementary School Teacher in Grades K–6 certificate and a Students with Disabilities certificate. The teacher will use effective instructional practices, apply knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA, and analyze data to guide instruction. The role involves working with elementary students and communicating with staff, students, parents, and the community. Alternatives to the listed qualifications may be accepted at the Superintendent’s discretion. The position is pending budget availability. Applications are accepted for ten consecutive days after posting or until the position is filled.

Requirements

• New Jersey Elementary School Teacher in Grades K–6 certificate.
• Students with Disabilities certificate.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Effective instructional practices and strategies.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with elementary students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and respect for others.
• Computer literacy and ability to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
