About The Position

To help students learn subjects to pass the GED exams. Teach basic skills encompassing math, science, English, and Social Studies. Help students prepare and study for GED exams. Assess students' readiness to take exam. Create projects designed to enhance lectures. Utilize various curriculum resources. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans. Work with program lead to ensure initiatives are being met. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Observe and evaluate student's performance. Manage student behavior in the classroom.

Requirements

• As set by the State certification requirements for the teaching area: GED (107)
• 1-2 years of experience teaching GED in Spanish
• Prior experiences working in an environment with adult learners
• Bilingual, (English and Spanish)

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
