TEACHER, SHORT TERM SUBSTITUTE - PARAPROFESSIONAL (ECE/SPED)

About The Position

A substitute Early Childhood Paraprofessional or substitute Special Education Paraprofessional fills in for school's ECE or Special Education Paraprofessionals that are away from the classroom. Sub Paras assist the classroom teacher with managing the classroom, and maintaining a productive learning environment. Sub Early Childhood Paras adapt to early child students or Sub Special Education Subs support in Special Education classrooms in K-12 grades supporting students' learning. All substitute teachers are requested to work a minimum of seven assignments a month.

Requirements

Sub Early Childhood Para - MUST have a High School Diploma or GED
Sub Special Education Para - MUST have a High School Diploma or GED and 48 hours of College Credits or passing score EDReady Math and Reading test.
Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

Organize students for effective instruction and learning while while supporting classroom teacher and help foster a safe and positive environment for all students.
Motivate student learning and academic participation while ensuring the integrity of academic time.
Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher
