About The Position

The
Teacher’s Aide
is responsible for assisting with the classroom team, behavioral specialists, occupational, speech, and physical therapists, school districts, and families to help our amazing students achieve their educational goals. Responsibilities include:

Assisting students to use instructional materials and equipment
Helping Teacher get ready for the school day
Performing necessary personal care for students
Performing feeding, lifting, positioning and toileting duties for students as needed
Assist students in all areas of The Day School as directed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) or more years of experience working with children.
• Clearances: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, Act 33 Child Abuse
• Act 73 FBI, State Act 34-Criminal, and State Act 33-Child Abuse Clearances
• Current and valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred (will provide training)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with exceptional children in an educational setting is preferred.
