Teacher Residency Manager

GO Tutor CorpsNew York, NY
$80,000 - $90,000Hybrid

About The Position

The mission of the GO Tutor Corps is to provide students with access to a quality education through high-dosage tutoring and educator development. We recruit, train, and support a corps of tutors and aspiring teachers who are placed in partner schools where they provide intensive academic support, mentorship, and instruction to students. We refer to these aspiring teachers as “Teacher Residents” to reflect the many roles they play in supporting student growth and school communities. In the 2025–2026 school year, GO Teacher Residents served in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and the District of Columbia. The GO Teacher Residency program provides a pathway for aspiring educators to enter the teaching profession through a supported apprenticeship model. Residents are placed in partner schools where they engage in student teaching through our gradual release framework while earning their Master’s degree and certification through one of our higher education partners. Throughout the program, residents receive ongoing coaching, professional development, and mentorship from the GO Tutor Corps. At several of our longstanding partner schools, nearly half of current teachers began their careers through GO programming. We are seeking a NYC-based educator with 5+ years of teaching experience who is passionate about developing and supporting aspiring teachers entering the profession. The Teacher Residency Manager will oversee and support a cohort of teacher residents throughout their residency experience. Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Teacher Residency (Shereen Johnson), the Teacher Residency Manager will support the implementation, coordination, and continued growth of the residency program across a portfolio of schools. This individual will work closely with residents, mentor teachers, school leaders, and the GO Tutor Corps team to ensure residents receive strong coaching, development, and programmatic support throughout their residency experience. We are looking for someone who can facilitate high-quality adult learning experiences, build and maintain strong partnerships with school leaders and mentor teachers, manage the operational details of a complex multi-site program, and collaborate with our recruiters to grow and strengthen the residency pipeline. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, highly organized, and committed to developing equitable, student-centered educators.
